A Dillon Mulligan point in added-on time rescued a draw from the jaws of defeat for Cavan in a pulsating Lory Meagher Cup second round clash in Enniskillen.
Seán Corrigan’s free (71) looked set to propel Fermanagh into the winner’s enclosure at Brewster Park only for midfielder Mulligan to give the long-time leaders a deserved draw.

Fermanagh drew first blood after 43 seconds when Caolan Duffy goaled but a brilliant flicked goal (9) by Sean Keating provided timely momentum for the visitors.

A Danann McKeogh major (13) eased the hosts into a 2-3 to 1-4 lead but five points from Nicky Kenny helped Cavan leap into a 1-12 to 2-5 lead by half-time.

Jack Barry’s quick-fire goal seconds after the restart and a Mark Moffett major (47) combined to catapult Cavan into a commanding 3-14 to 2-6 lead but a Ryan Bogue goal (52) inspired a brilliant comeback by the Ernesiders.

A goal apiece by John Duffy and Adam McShea left the sides tied at 5-11 to 3-17 with 66 minutes on the clock and despite match-winning opportunities for both sides in the run-in, stalemate was the name of the game at the death.
