Professor Niall Moyna:

Niall Moyna is a well-known Irish academic and sports scientist, recognized for his work in exercise physiology and his advocacy for physical fitness and health. He is a professor in the School of Health and Human Performance at Dublin City University (DCU). Moyna has been involved in various public health campaigns in Ireland, focusing on promoting physical activity as a preventive measure against chronic diseases.

His research covers cardiovascular health, physical fitness, and exercise prescription. He is also a frequent media contributor, using his platform to raise awareness about the importance of physical activity for all ages.

 

Hannah Tyrrell
Hannah is a multi talented athlete having won an All Ireland Ladies Football Championship medal, a Women’s Six Nations and Triple Crown championship and a FAI cup medal, to name but a few!

Hannah has spoken openly about her struggles with mental health issues and previously served as an ambassador for the Tackle Your Feelings campaign headed by the Irish Rugby Union Players Association. She has also opened up about her battle with an eating disorder during her teens and talks about how Pieta and playing sport helped her personally. Now an ambassador for Pieta, she works tirelessly to help those who find themselves in similar situations, empowering them to seek support.

Aidan Walsh

Aidan is a current member of the Irish High Performance boxing team and was a Tokyo 2020 Olympic Bronze Medallist and 2022 Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist. Aidan is an MSc student studying Sport & Exercise Psychology while targeting his third Olympic Games in 2028.
For 20 years Aidan has committed himself to learning the art of boxing and with the help of psychology has come to understand how the world’s best athletes compete and perform at the highest level. Following his own journey through mental health, stepping away from elite sport for 14 months and returning  and qualifying for a second Olympic Games, AIdan will share his story on the importance of mental health and wellbeing.
