Cavan GAA Strategic Plan 2025-2030 “A Vision for Cavan GAA / Fís do CLG an Chabháin
Introduction
It is with great excitement and accomplishment that we, Cavan GAA on behalf of the clubs of Cavan, launch our new strategic plan for 2025-2030 “A Vision for Cavan GAA / Fís do CLG an Chabháin”. This plan is not just a document; it is a roadmap to our future, an outline of our commitment, and a reflection of our collective vision. The work to capture the feedback and information needed for this plan, as well as the drafting of this plan, has been going for 18 months and it is with great joy, we launched this plan at Cavan GAA County Convention 2024, hosted by Laragh United GFC in Stradone, on the 12th of December 2024.
A massive thank you to the clubs of Cavan who engaged in the feedback and consultation process. The feedback obtained has provided invaluable insight into what is going well within our county and what needs to be improved. We have used all this feedback, with some providing quick wins for us in regards to process changes and improvements, and the remaining feeding into the strategic plan. This plan would also not have been realised without all others who engaged with the process, key stakeholders like player representatives, sponsors, volunteers and staff.
Strategic Goals
Our strategic plan is built around eight key strategic themes:
- Games Development
- People’s Health and Well-being
- Safeguarding & Inclusiveness
- Club and Community Development
- Cavan GAA’s Culture, Language and Heritage and Culture
- Capital Urban Rural Developments
- Governance & Fund Raising
- Communication
These goals are not just targets; they are commitments to excellence, innovation, and growth.
Action Plan
To achieve these goals, Cavan GAA have outlined a comprehensive action plan in Section 7 of the plan. This plan includes key actions, timelines, and resources. We will measure our progress throughout the lifecycle of the plan and report back to our County Committee at regular intervals.
Engagement
Success is a team effort. Each one within our County plays a crucial role in this journey. The clubs and volunteers of Cavan’s dedication, creativity, and collaboration are the driving forces behind Cavan GAA’s success. Cavan GAA encourage you all as a County and beyond to embrace this plan with enthusiasm and commitment. Together, we can achieve.

In closing, we, Cavan GAA, want to reiterate our unwavering belief in our vision and mission. This strategic plan is our path to a better future for all in Cavan.
