Cavan GAA is hosting a celebration of the stadium’s centennial anniversary. Celebratory events, highlighting both sporting achievements and the community of people who call the stadium home, will run from 25th – 29th July 2023.
This centennial milestone is an opportunity for Cavan GAA and the wider community to come together to celebrate the stadium’s legacy, highlighting how it has played such an important role in the lives of Cavan people.
All clubs and codes are invited to participate in an Ecumenical Service taking place in the Cathedral of St. Patrick and St Felim on Saturday 29th July at 11 a.m. After the Ecumenical Service, there will be a parade of clubs through the town to Kingspan Breffni. Each club will be led by their club banner. Following the parade, there will be under 13 football blitz.
During this week of celebrations, visitors will also have the chance to take a guided tour of the stadium and learn more about its history and significance. There are a number of activities planned to celebrate the occasion including a photographic exhibition capturing notable memories of the past, and a cultural evening.

Coinciding with Cavan Calling 2023, the “100 years of Kingspan Breffni” celebrations will be a fitting tribute to the numerous people past and present who made this unique stadium a place ‘Where we all belong’.
