Cavan GAA have said goodbye to Shaun Doherty who finished working, after over 8 years, as one of the County Board’s full time County Coaches.
Shaun started working for Cavan GAA in September 2008 and his skills as a top quality coach have since been felt in every aspect of Coaching and Games Development in the county – primary & secondary schools, coaching courses, summer camps, Academy Squads, workshops and clubs – especially in West Cavan.
Across his eight years Shaun would have coached literally thousands of children in both primary and secondary schools and, as well as continuously developing players at secondary level, he helped schools like Breffni College, St. Bricin’s, St Pats and St. Mogue’s to success at County & Provincial levels. His earlier work at Development Squad level would, also, be very familiar to some of the younger members of the current Cavan Senior Panel.
Shaun leaves to take up the position of Director of Football in his native Fermanagh and we would like to thank him for all his work over the years. You were a pleasure to work with.
