Cavan GAA are hosting an U21 Intercounty hurling tournament in memory of Shane Mulholland who tragically died last year. Shane was Cavan GAA hurling development administrator at his untimely passing. The final will take place next Tuesday 28th June 8.15pm in Kingspan Breffni Park where Fermanagh play Longford.
Originally from Loughgiel, Co. Antrim, Shane lived in Derrylin, Co. Fermanagh and was a prominent member of the Fermanagh Senior hurling team.
It was as an underage coach that Shane will be remembered and truly missed. His passion, enthusiasm and energy left a lasting impression on all who were fortunate to have met him or were coached by him.
All money raised from the tournament go to ‘The Shane Mulholland Foundation’ which was founded by Shane’s family in his memory to help continue his great work of underage Gaelic games development.
