As a player Raymond made 114 appearances scoring an impressive 1-122 as a goalkeeper for the majority of his Cavan career, he captained the team from 2019 -2023, lifting the Anglo-Celt Cup in 2020 and received an All-Star the same year.

Raymond expressed his gratitude to all the players for their huge commitment and effort for the Cavan cause. They gave it their all and were a great group to work with. Raymond has cited work commitments and having a young family as the main reasons for his departure from the role.
