The Celtic Challenge U17 Hurling competition gets underway this evening around the country with every county once again taking part. This is the fourth year of the competition which has grown year on year where the focus is on development and participation.
The competition will be played on Wednesday evenings throughout May and June. Cavan will face Kildare Cadets, Louth, Longford, Monaghan and Wicklow in the coming weeks in Group F.
The opposition in round 1 is Kildare Cadets, the game being played in Drumree, Co. Meath with a 7.30pm throw in. Preparation has gone well over the past two months or so under the management of Mark Hayes, Gerard O’Reilly, Keith Greene and Liam Og Cooke.
