Convention 2018 – Reports & Officers 2019

Cavan GAA Annual Convention took place last night in Hotel Kilmore.

Treasurer Martin Cahill and Secretary Liam McCabe outlined the main points in their annual reports. All other officer reports were presented before Chairman Gerry Brady delivered his address.

OFFICERS 2019

Brendan Keaney (Killygarry) was nominated for the position of President and will replace outgoing Phil Smith (Butlersbridge) who returns to a Vice-President for 2019. 

Tom Moore (Lacken) has stepped down from the position of Assistant Treasurer (due to the five year rule). John Keating (Ballinagh) will take up the role in 2019.

All other officers are to be returned for 2019:

The position of Development Officer is now an appointed one along with Children’s Officer. Anne Fortune (Children’s Officer) and Michael Reynolds (Development Officer) have both been reappointed and were ratified at the last county committee meeting. Youth Board Chairperson is also appointed by the county chairperson and Orla O’Reilly has been reappointed to continue in the role for 2019.
