Death of Brendan Donoghue

All in Cavan GAA circles and beyond are saddened by the passing of Brendan Donoghue, Cootehill Rd, Cavan Town.

Brendan is current treasurer of Drumalee GAA Club, a position he has held for seven years. Brendan played for Cavan during the late 60s and early 70s, winning Ulster titles in 1967 and 1969. He was full back on the great Crosserlough team winning Cavan senior championships from 1968 – 1972, captaining the team in ’72.

We express our sympathies to Brendan’s wife Róisín, daughter Yvonne, sons Shane and Finbar, extended family and Drumalee and Crosserlough clubs.

Funeral Arrangements
Reposing in his home at Cootehill Road, today, Wednesday, from 12 noon until 8pm. House private to family thereafter. Funeral arriving to The Cathedral of Saints Patrick & Felim, Cavan, on Thursday for Requiem Mass at 1.30pm followed by burial in Cullies Cemetery.
