U14 boys Div 2 championship
Cuchulainns 9-14 Ballymachugh 6-11

Cuchullains got off to the perfect start with a victory in their first round Division 2 clash against a very good Ballymachugh team. Cuchullains got off to a quick start and had rattled off 4-03 after 15mins. However Ballymachugh settled into the game after that and had the better of the remainder of the half, but Cuchullains were still 6-07 to 3-07 to the good at half time. The second half proved to be a fairly nip and tuck game however a strong finish from the Cuchulainns men in the last 10mins put them in the driving seat. A good performance overall and a fine spectacle of scoring from both teams was appreciated by the large crowd in attendance.

Team:
Glenn Prendergast, Sean Lynch, Sean Coyne, Daire Martin, Connor Smith, Glenn Ryan-McCann, Philip Smyth, Turlough Farrelly, Graham Kelleher, Caoloch Monaghan, Diarmuid O’Reilly, Oisin Donoghue, Cillian McCabe.

U14 boys Div 5 Championship.

Cuchulainns 4-12 Crosserlough 8-9

Cuchullains suffered a second defeat in as many outings in this Division 5 clash with Crosserlough in Mullagh. This was a game where goals proved to be a deciding factor in what was a very evenly matched game. The early exchanges proved to be very close, however the concession of a couple of goals before half time had Cuchullains on the back foot. After a slow start to the second half Cuchullains found themselves 15 points down, however showed great character to drag themselves back into contention with 10mins to go, and only the concession of two late goals put the game beyond reach for the Cuchulainns men. It was a great overall team performance with some super scores throughout the game from both teams.
