September 3rd, 2017 | News

Niall Lynch (Cuchulainns) has called time on his role as Cavan U21 football team manager.

Niall and his management team led our 21s for two years and in that time reached the Hastings Cup 2016 final, 2017 semi final and Eirgrid Ulster semi final in 2017. From 2018, U21 will change to U20 at national level.

Cavan GAA sincerely thank Niall and his management team of Ronan Carolan, Michael Hannon, Micheál Lyng and Dermot Sheridan, also Damien Keaney (Strength & Conditioning), Brian Clarke (stats) and kitmen Killian Morgan, Ollie Martin and Brian Henry for their huge effort and commitment over the past two seasons.

We are confident that all involved  will continue to contribute greatly to Cavan GAA and we wish them well for the future.

Niall would especially like to thank the players for their never ending effort and commitment and were always a pleasure to work with and he looks forward to seeing many of them representing Cavan at senior level in the future. He also thanks the county board and the clubs for their unyielding support.

Nominations forms for U20 football team manager 2018 have been emailed to clubs. The deadline for return of nominations is Monday 11th September.
