Ulster GAA Club & Volunteer Conference

Ulster GAA’s Club & Volunteer Conference 2016 “Communicating Your Club’s Message” will take place on Saturday 29th October from 9.30am  in the Glenavon Hotel, Cookstown.

 
An agenda is attached for your information. There will be five workshops repeated once through-out the day; as follows:
1. The Three Rs of Volunteering – enabling clubs to increase their effectiveness in recruiting, rewarding, and retaining volunteers
2. Social Media and Your Club – examining the challenges of getting your club’s message across to a wider audience, in an effective and safe manner
3. Maximising Fundraising – examining ways to effectively plan, and deliver successful club fundraising initiatives
4. Sláinte is Táinte – informing clubs of ways in which health and wellbeing can be used better engage with club members and the wider community
5. Sharing Our Culture – enabling clubs to effectively use our culture and heritage as a means to enrich our club, and attract new members

Attendance at the Club & Volunteer Conference is a requirement of Club Maith.

Promotion or Relegation – this workshop will look at the challenges of getting key messages out to club members and wider audiences; while also considering the safety implications of using social media

3. Maximising your Fundraising Potential
Raising the Roof – this workshop will look at ways in which clubs can plan and manage their fundraising so as to be most effective

4. Health & Wellbeing
Sláinte is Táinte – this workshop will inform clubs of ways in which health and wellbeing can be used as a means to increase a club’s reach and relevance in their community

5. Culture & Heritage
Gaeilge sa Chlub – this workshop will look at ways in which clubs can use the cultural activities and heritage of the GAA as a means to involve a wider audience, and to strengthen the relationship between people and place.
